 8M (Formerly 5M), those guys that have brought you Man Day, Pork for Pink and many other philanthropic events are having a Super Bowl SATURDAY BBQ'ed Pork Sale.  We will be taking pre-orders from now until January 29th.  We will have one pound of delicious 8M pulled pork for $10, or the McLovin Special of $25 for three pounds.  We will be distributing from the Foxcroft Clubhouse on February 4th from 10am until 2pm.  www.letsburnsomemeat.com
The proceeds from this event benefit a person/family in the community who is dealing with a medical adversity,  David Girard, who was involved in a traumatic car accident on the morning of July 12, 2011, on Woolridge Road. David sustained multiple injuries to his abdominal organs, pelvis, as well as other broken bones. He was in the Surgical Trauma ICU for 80 days after more than 30 operations.  His current rehabilitation is to learn how to walk again.
David and his family have lived in Woodlake for 10 years and have been members of WSRC for 11 years. David is a 20 year member of IBEW Local Union 666 as a Journeyman Electrician. He has been involved with Indian Guides, Woodlake and Woolridge Athletic Associations, assisting with Softball and Baseball. The Girard's attend Journey Christian Church in Midlothian. They are very thankful for the support that their family, friends and community has shown the last few months when faced with the life changing events that have occurred.
